This car has come a long way. Destined for the scrap yards in California, I decided to use this car to further my knowledge about cars. Hundreds of Hours have been put into fixing and modifying various components. More modifications are planned for this car to make it the shining example of an old Volkswagen can do.

Fixing the failed and leaking valve cover gasket, positive crankshaft ventilation, and brake booster assembly after I just bought the car in the summer of 2021 and a myriad of other random electrical gremlins.

Car before the California to Rhode Island Road Trip. To my surprise, it made the trip with no problems.

Modification done in the fall of 2021 after arriving to Rhode Island. Cold Air Intake, Oil Catch Can, Ignition refresh, EVAP Valves.

Me installing a new Intercooler system in the Summer of 2022 due to some heat soak issues I was experiencing.

With the current modifications, we are running 30psi of boost during normal road use and 38psi on E85 or 100 Octane Gas.
Rally Lights Installed in the spring of 2024 to combat night visibility issues.

In the future I would like to build the million-mile golf. Although I understand that the car industry is moving towards electric vehicles, it is my personal belief that fun should also be had sometimes and here is how I plan on doing it.
Thanks to Tim at TD Performance in Providence and my friends for helping me learn about and build this car.
